We are a Christian faith community living in the way of Christ accepting and welcoming all in loving service, growing Christ’s future on Earth.
Sentence for the Day
‘I give you a new commandment,’ says the Lord, ‘that you love one another. As I have loved you, you also should love one another.’
John 13:34
Collect
We behold your glory,
O God, in the love
shown by your Son,
lifted up on the cross
and exalted on high:
be glorified anew in the love we have for one another
as disciples of the risen Lord Jesus, who lives and
reigns with you, in the unity
of the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
Hope 25 prayer
God of Hope
you call on us to be your
witnesses in this uncertain world:
by your Spirit awaken in us a true vision of your kingdom a greater certainty of our salvation, and a deeper dedication to your service:
that through our words and actions the same Spirit may bring many who are lost to be found and for them to celebrate the hope that we can
only have in Jesus Christ,
in whose name we pray.
Amen.

Intercessions: Taken from Glimpses of Glory by David Adam
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, give us wisdom and faith to trust in you. When we cannot see your presence, when the way is full of darkness and doubt, increase our faith and help us to know that you well never leave us or forsake us.
Lord, we rejoice that we abide in you and in your great love; you accept us when we find it hard to accept ourselves for each other. We pray that you will strengthen the fellowship of your people, that you will sustain us in our unity and help us to know we are one in you. We pray for all who are striving to realize the unity that you give to your church. We pray for inter-church relationships and all groups that help to break down barriers.
Lord, lead us from despair to hope, from division to wholeness.
We give thanks for our own homes and their love. We pray for homes of strife and discord, homes where there is neglect, abuse or violence. We remember homes where there is no love or where love is betrayed. We pray for all families suffering from a breakdown in their relationships.
Lord, lead us from despair to hope, from division to wholeness.
We pray for all who suffer from poor mental health, for those whose lives are torn apart by memories or fears. We pray for all who have suffered from any form of breakdown. We ask your blessing on loved ones and friends who are suffering at this time and we pray especially for ……. and those known to us whom we name aloud or in the silence of our hearts.
Lord, lead us from despair to hope, from division to wholeness.
We look forward to the day when we will share fully in the communion of saints, when we will be one in the Spirit and one in the lord. We pray for loved ones departed, remembering Kira Conway, for all who have gone before us in the faith, and for the day when we will share with them in your kingdom.
Lord, lead us from despair to hope, from division to wholeness.
We praise You O God, we acknowledge You to be the Lord.
Grant that what we have asked in faith we may by your grace receive, though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Pew Reflection
This week we explore what grace and salvation mean for us and the world and God’s revelation in both the human and non-human world. Is salvation only for a ‘select few’ or are the gates of salvation thrown wide open. Is salvation limited to the ‘human world’ or are those of the non-human world also included. We often ‘default’ to a faith that is parochial, xenophobic and anthropocentric. We favour ‘our’ brand of spirituality and ecclesiology, our culture and ethnicity and species, we assume that our traditions, our species, and what we hold dear spiritually are the fullest expressions of divine wisdom and handiwork. But God is a generous in revelation and salvation; God loves all created creatures, not just those walk upright on two legs like you and I. God’s ways are not our ways; God’s limits are not our limits; God’s universalism is not our tribalism. The wideness of God’s mercy extends far further than our own.
