We are a Christian faith community living in the way of Christ accepting and welcoming all in loving service, growing Christ’s future on Earth.
Sentence for the Day
‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you,’ says the Lord. ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.’
John 14:27
Collect
Great and loving God,
your will for us in your Son Jesus is the peace which the world cannot give, your abiding gift, the Advocate he promised.
Calm all troubled hearts,
dispel every fear, and keep us steadfast in love and faithful to your word. Grant this through Jesus Christ, the firstborn from the dead, who lives with you now and always in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.
Amen
Hope 25 prayer
God of Hope
you call on us to be your
witnesses in this uncertain world:
by your Spirit awaken in us a true vision of your kingdom a greater certainty of our salvation, and a deeper dedication to your service:
that through our words and actions the same Spirit may bring many who are lost to be found and for them to celebrate the hope that we can
only have in Jesus Christ,
in whose name we pray.
Amen.

Intercessions: Prepared by Peta Tierney
Gracious and loving God, hear the prayers we bring before you. We thank you for your gift of the world around us, its beauties and resources which sustain us. We pray for the sustainability of those resources and their fair and just distribution across nations and peoples so that all people can share in the bounty of your earth and live lives of dignity.
Let God be gracious to us and bless us: and make his face shine upon us.
Gracious and loving God, we pray for your worldwide church. We give thanks for the work of all your servants, especially for Archbishop Jeremy, Bishop John, our priest Helen, and for Fr John. We pray for Kristy and Peta as they prepare to attend and represent the parish on the future direction of the Diocese at SYNOD at the end of June. We pray that you will guide the work of SYNOD and the decisions to be made.
Let God be gracious to us and bless us: and make his face shine upon us.
Gracious and loving God, we pray for all your people in every nation, for leaders and decisions which affect peoples’ lives, especially in Sudan, Ukraine and Gaza. We bring before you those who have little, and those who have much, so that they may give generously of their means to help others. We bring before you those whom we help though our Emergency Relief Fund, our bread ministry and our retiring collections. We pray for the quiet, lifegiving work of Mercy Ships. We pray for those suffering and in need, particularly for … and for those known to us, whom we name aloud, or in the silence of our hearts…
Let God be gracious to us and bless us: and make his face shine upon us.
Gracious and loving God, we remember those whose Year’s Mind occurs at this time, and all who have gone before us, who lived their lives following you. We give thanks for the faithful lives of Augustine, and of John and Charles Wesley. Comfort those who mourn the painful loss of loved ones.
Let God be gracious to us and bless us: and make his face shine upon us.
Gracious and loving God, Grant that what we have asked in faith we may by your grace receive, though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Pew Reflection
Our readings this week join vision, spiritual transformation and call people to become everyday mystics and God’s healing partners in their personal and political lives. When we respond to the visions God has for us, we claim God’s healing touch and bring healing to ourselves and our communities. New energies are released, the doors of perception are cleansed, and we experience infinity in finite moments, and eternity in the midst of time. We become the change we want to see in the world, and we discover that with God’s grace, we are the ones that we have been looking for to bring about God’s beloved community in our relationships, nation, and personal lives through our commitment to responding to God’s vision.
